Introduction

It is generally understood that, in addition to the basic function of “living” as a residence, the high-grade residence, it mainly reflects the quality of life and the characteristics of enjoyment, and the independent garden residence in the modern meaning is built independently.

Villas are divided into the following 5 types: single-family villa, terraced house, semi-detached villa, superimposed villa and air villa.

＊single-family villa
That is, a single house with independent space on the top and private garden territory on the bottom. It is a private single villa, which is characterized by independent space on the top, left, right, front and back. Generally, there are green spaces and courtyards with different areas around the house. This type of villa has the longest history, strong privacy and high market price, and is also the ultimate form of villa building.

It is an intermediate product between terraced house and single-family villa. It is a single-family villa composed of two-unit villas. The popular 2-PAC villa in the United States is a semi-detached villa. The density of the community is reduced and the lighting surface of the residence is increased, so that it has a wider outdoor space. Semi-detached villas basically have three-sided lighting, and the outer rooms usually have more than two lighting surfaces. Generally speaking, there are more windows, so ventilation will not be poor. The important things are lighting and viewing.

＊terraced house
A terraced house has its own yard and garage. It consists of three or more unit houses, with a row of two to four floors connected together. Several units share an external wall, with a unified graphic design and an independent portal. A terraced house is one of the forms adopted by most economical villas.

＊townhouse
It is an extension of terraced house, between villas and apartments, and is composed of multi-storey villa-style duplex houses. Generally, it has four to seven floors, which are formed by superimposing villas with two to three floors per unit. Compared with a terraced house, this kind of bay has a richer independent surface shape, and at the same time, it overcomes the defect of narrow depth of terraced house to a certain extent.

＊Air villa
The air villa originated in the United States and is called “penthouse” or “air attic”. It originally refers to a luxurious house located at the top of the high-rise building in the center of the city. It is generally understood that it is a large duplex/loft residence or loft residence with villa shape built on the top of apartments or high-rise buildings. The product is required to meet the basic requirements of the whole villa landscape, with good geographical location, wide vision, transparency, etc.

From the perspective of architectural form, the appearance and shape of villas have already broken the boundaries of regions and countries, and the excellent architectural styles of villas from all over the world are almost reflected in China’s villa market.
